Abstract

Specially protected natural territories (PAs) have been created in the area: Resource Reserve (RR) "Suntar-Hayata" (66.6 thousand hectares), State Nature Reserve (GPP) "Tomporuk" (272.596 thousand hectares), GPP "Tukulan " (948,556 thousand ha), RR" Hotu " (3000 hectares). In Tomponsky region, the main forest-forming species is Cajander larch (Larix cajanderii Mayr.). Choseny and poplar forests, willow forests (Salix boganidensis Trautv., S. hastata L., S. alaxensis Coville.) Are located along the river valleys, and cedar elfin forests (Pinus pumila Regel.) On the tops of the ridge. There is a significant percentage of endemism among vascular plants (15 endemics and 6 subendemics). Often there are cryophilic steppes. The distribution of 98 taxa of moss from 63 genera and 25 families has been established on the territory of the “Suntar-Khayat” RR. The flora of the higher vascular plants of the Suntar-Hayat PP contains 231 species from 118 genera and 47 families. According to the preliminary list of vascular plant flora, 326 species, 177 genera, and 57 families were identified in the Tomporuk GPP. On the territory of the resource reserve “Hotu”, the growth of 226 taxa of vascular plants is possible, which are combined into 122 genera and 53 families. Of the vertebrate animals living in the Tomponsky region, 21 species of birds are listed in the Red Book of Yakutia, 2 species of mammals, 10 species of Insecta. The interaction of the Tompon Inspection of Nature Protection with scientific organizations, educational institutions, with the population includes participation, assistance in conducting expeditions, environmental studies, work with the district's authorities in the field of waste management, forest protection activities against fires, and environmental education work with the population. subsoil use enterprises, organization of summer environmental camps for schoolchildren with the involvement of scientific and pedagogical staff. At present, the Inspectorate, together with researchers from various RS (Y) institutions, prepared materials for the expansion of the territories of the GPP "Tomporuk", RR "Suntar-Hayat" and RR "Kuolum-Chappanda".
