Domestic-Coded Translation and Metamodelling Principles

Abstract
There are two reasons that predetermine the relevance of the topic: lack of psycholinguistic models of translation, more or less convexly focusing the mental stage of the source text message decoding and lack of domestic-coded translation meta-modelling as a type of mediation in intercultural communication. The latter, in particular, is caused by the traditional understanding of culture as a state belonging, not of the peoples living within the country. The research objective is to metamodel a domestic-coded translation grounded by a psycholinguistic approach to the study of mono- and intercultural communication. The goal is realized via the following steps: to give an overview of the existing models of translation due to the criterion “research paradigm”; to present initial methodological foundations of the algorithm, including a cognitive mechanism of natural semiosis; to present the author's psycholinguistic model focusing three mental operations to be realized at the preverbal stage of translation; to illustrate the model by examples and experimental data on Buryats’ communication strategies priorities. The main research method is modelling, the related methods are experiment, idealization, introspection, prediction, antithesis. Metamodelling testing is carried out by contradiction evidence, as well as Buryat-Russian translation examples and on the Yakut culture. The author comes to the conclusion that the psycholinguistic metamodel of domestic-coded translation provides an understanding what an atomic, microquantum approach to the study of semiosis is like; how equal is to translate cultures both at interstate and interdomestic levels. The model might work in interpretation and translation, when the intermediary between cultures suppresses their self-interpretation and subsequently perceives the sender’s and recipient’s internal worldviews in the source text back topic. The research prospects might develop as the metamodel testing via observations the way other languages of Russia are translated into Russian.
